This Saturday is my “negative one-th” anniversary: my beautiful fiancee and I are getting married next August 1st! We’re going to celebrate by going out to our favourite breakfast place
We’re being frugal to save for the wedding. I’m trying to coerce her to write a guest post on things we’re doing to have a classy, yet cost-effective wedding. Maybe she’ll cave once I buy her breakfast!
For those that have one, enjoy your long weekend! I’ll be back on Tuesday.

Congratulations to you and your “beautiful fiancee”!! What a wonderful and cost-effective way to celebrate! I think your idea for an off-shoot blog about money-saving weddings is a great one. I regularly watch a wedding reality program on HGTV and marvel at the lengths (money-wise especially) that some brides and grooms go make their wedding days “perfect”, when it’s the married life afterwards that needs the focus. It sounds as if you and your fiance have your priorities straight! Good luck!
She’ll think about it
I did enjoy that Four Pillars article, it put my spending money into harsh perspective. Definitely something I am going to seriously consider.
